The Congress has reached out to actor-turned-politician Vijay for Kerala election campaigning even as his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, is weighing whether to contest Tamil Nadu polls alone or in alliance with the grand old party.Senior leaders of the Congress have opened communication with actor-turned-politician Vijay, and are planning to invite the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief to campaign for the party in Kerala ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, sources told India Today TV.
According to sources, a senior Congress leader has already extended the invitation to Vijay informally, though no final decision has been announced. The outreach came as TVK is internally exploring the option of contesting the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with Congress.
